The Shores of Eilat (56K Die!)

Post by The Grim Squeaker »

Photos from my recent trip to the Southernmost tip of Israel, the beach resort of Eilat.
I spent most of the (2.5 day) trip scuba diving (no pictures from there unfortunately, I don't have a waterproof camera/case and the rental was exorbitant), but I also wandered the beaches near our hotels and took some photos. A few of my photos of semi-Hot chicks are at the end of the thread :P.

The ISrael/Jordan border

I have another shot showing this from afar, it's a line of massive luxury hotels (Herods, Hilton, Meridien etc') on the ISraeli side then nothing for kilometers before a ramshackle pile of houses on the Jordanian side.
A pity I couldn't cross, the scuba diving in Sinai is supposed to be absolutely amazing.

That's the Jordanian side (beautiful mountains, if less multicoloured than the ones on our side which look like a gamut of ice cream colours)

Fucking big flag :P. That's the Jordanian side.

Kocher. (Should be "Kosher")

There's a tiny airport there, the planes come in very close to some of the hotels' roofs.

Decided to take one of your pictures and give it the Fuji Velvia effect.

Image

I think it would be kinda neat to do the supersaturated high contrast look on some of your landscapes, make the colours richer & more vivid than reality.

aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me. :)
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

That might work with some of the mountains, but the beach and the shot you showed are already strongly saturated, it just looks unnatural (in an unintersting way) like that :P.
Normally, I usually love the velvia effect though. (with flowers ad whatnot ;)).

Thanks. You can tell the difference? :P

EDIT: No need for unnecessary bandwidth use ;)
