I've decided to break away from pencil sketches and start using inks. The results have been largely positive. Since I cannot erase, it's forced me to focus a lot more on detail.



First inked drawing I attempted. Just a basic test involving my fetish for both fairies and tentacles.

Finally, the stuff I've gone all-out on:



Tarbaby. A heartwarming story about a sentient, parasitic, tar-like substance produced by hideous, beaked creatures. Their 'parents' are stupid and slow, thus the tar must take over the bodies of larger or more advanced creatures to transport the 'tarbabies' to new worlds.



Tatterchain. A friendly, if rather eccentric woman who always seems a bit out of touch with reality. The reason for that is she has a habit of finding placed where the strange intrudes upon normal reality, and subsequently beating the crap out of whatever pushes its way through. She carries a chain decorated with various sharp objects and the mementos of everything she's run into, though it's uncertain whether her name comes from the chain she carries, or the state she tends to leave her opponents in.



The Lord of Nightmares. Something with a real-life story behind it. My Dev found the Lord of Nightmares squatting at the bottom of the fridge one day. It was purple and brown, it glistened, and it appeared to be growing tentacles. After some investigation, we deduced that it had begun life as a head of cabbage. We disposed of it with as much respect as possible, afraid of incurring the beast's ire. To this day I fear its return, and submit this drawing in the hopes that such praise of its power will placate the entity and avert its wrath.

They all look great, really similar to the cover art to a load of Lovecraft-related stories. You've come on leaps and bounds since the last picture I saw.

I love this stuff! It's disturbing and dark and awesomely abstract and whacky and weird - like from some deranged dreamscape, with nightmarish nocturnal emissions!

There's some really good art there, especially the monsters and abstract nightmarish designs. Some of the "human" characters look a bit schematic, or our of proportion - but it might be on purpose.

Why is that Ur-Quan strangling that fairy thing?

Last month was rather productive. Seven new ones done:



First off, I eventually had to do one involving Rye getting dommed/violated. Unfortunately I lost interest once I got done with the fun bits.



This is how succubi ought to be, in my humble opinion.

Really good stuff Oni... except the eyes. They throw everything off for me. That anime "we aren't drawing 12 year olds doing porn, but we are making them look like 12 year olds doing porn" eye style, I think is detrimental to what you are going for. It is your work, but perhaps you could try a more realistic looking eye. With the level of line detail you use, you should still be able to convey all the emotions, but without them taking up half the face.

Also finish that last one. It looks like it will be something very worthwhile to have finished in your portfolio.

You've got really good rendering of textures going on there.

I don't know if you listened to me or not, but this new batch has a much more... mature feel to me with the smaller eyes. It also gives the drawings a much more sinister look which I like very much. Excellent work.

This reminds me, in look and feel, of some of the better illustrators of the old horror magazines. The evolution of skill you've shown in this thread alone is impressive.

The drawings can go from pretty damn disturbing to sometimes quite erotic, always trying hit the in-between.
I do agree with the eyes thing. It makes them look a bit more mature and realistic.

These are all, undoubtedly and irrevocally, the stuff of nightmares.

Could you draw me a WHORE with BREASTS that are BLEEDING BLOOD from her MILKBAGS? Perhaps being eviscerated or mammary-masticated by some vaguely avian Crow-like humanoid monstrosity?

Because that would also be extremely awesome and would be the culmination of all my WHORE WHORE WHORE-ing and BREASTBLEED-ing.
