I'm thinking of getting back into the hobby. In order to exercise my painting skills, I picked up this terminator lord and got crackin'. Now I haven't painted a mini in about just over a decade, though I think this turned out well. It was like riding a bike...made out of brushes and paint.

That's beautiful! In a horrible, chaos-spawned fashion, that is.
I don't think he has enough stuff on his back, however. Needs at least 20 more spikes, skulls, and maybe a grill so he can plop down and cook lunch out the people he got the skulls from.

This kit came with enough to almost build two chaos lords, and speaking of grills, among these extras is a chaos familiar holding a pennant or something (I put the kit in teh bits box), who could be converted to hold a grill...Darmalus wrote:Words, maybe a grill so he can plop down and cook lunch out the people he got the skulls from.

When are you going to post pics of your barbecued Khorne?

Pretty nice. Which legion does this lord belong to? Black Legion? Judging from the color (or the mad men of the World Eaters?)

Re: WH40K Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor
well it looks like there's the Black Legion insignia on one of the shoulder pads but I'm not 100% sure.
I may be an idiot, but I'm a tolerated idiot

Re: WH40K Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor
I didn't put much thought into that. I just bought a new set of paints, my old ones are almost 12 years old, and I just threw on some gray. The coloration matches my Black Legion terminators though, so I suppose he'll fit in there. Well in a round about way I'm saying he represents a black legion lord!
