"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia

Ooh, I really like the coloring on the first one, and the hair on the bottom left of the third one looks exceptionally ratty.

I have one question in particular though - why would an Inquisitor not wear some kind of breastplate, or at least a shirt? o.o

That's casual wear for Zixer, because he's a huge poser. When he's actually surrounded by even the slightest modicum of danger, he dresses appropriately.

And just in general, I don't draw a lot of shirts. I feel obliged to confess that before someone who remembers my art comes here and makes a humorous comment about it.

I really like the hornguy in the third picture. VERY impressive.

Looks like you still draw elves and funny-looking people and even improved at it! How've you been?

Have a very nice day.

Damn!

And yeah, it's still funny. But then, I imagine Kodis makes that face quite often.

Thanks, fgalkin! I've been drawing-elf-ing right along 8). I've mostly been good, but life is strenuous. I'm coming up on my last year of college and I need to get everything in line for graduate school. I'm also currently doing a research project that could result in a publication, but I doubt my data is going to hit that critical point where I think it's sufficiently rigorous to deserve it (due to time constraints). We'll see.

Hey, hey! "Lack of balls" is a very understandable failing when you're Kodis.

Oh my God, 2 and 3 in the OP are outstanding.

2 is just incredible and the one on the left in 3 is giving me a Finnish folklore vibe.

Thanks! Kodis was designed relatively recently (by that I mean about three years ago), so I think his is better than most and thus makes for some neat drawings.

If the Finns tells tales of a barracuda-toothed elf who is also the world's best physicist, then I can completely understand that! If not, then I need to read some Finnish folklore, and then I will completely understand that!

Surely not.

I looked at your first picture, read 'Zixier' and would have done a spit take if I had been drinking anything. Thank God there was that picture of Umber (and Kodis) to assure me that you are still the same person.

What's wrong with Zixe there? I think he looks quite, well, Zixer-y. He's actually in a kind of good spot, art-wise, since he's still alive. (I often stop drawing characters once they're dead, since they.... I don't know, it feels weird and retrospective.) You'll probably see more of him.

I like the third pic with that "nutty little freak" because man, the way you drew him so grittily makes him look so ANCIENT and BEDRAGGLED and stuff! Like some great pre-cambrian evil thing of much decrepitude and disgruntledment!

I like what you consider "somewhat scribbly" other artists would probably regard as a major rendering. :P

FP: I... don't know what you're talking about, sir! Zixer has always been a short-haired scarfless manly man. The retcons prove it!

o wait that is not---

If that was the impression you got from the image, then I have done perfectly.

Hey, FD, sad tigers like that really do exist. Check out articles on the tiger farms of China. Incomprehensibly depressing.

And thanks, I.O.!

Wow. I had to do a triple-take on that Zixer picture, because it's vastly different from what I was expecting. The detail and realism on him are fantastic. Even now, as I'm writing this in a quick-reply, I keep scrolling back up to look at it. Just one thing - did you decide to retcon him being blind? I notice you got rid of the little appliance on his cheek.
And just in general, I don't draw a lot of shirts. I feel obliged to confess that before someone who remembers my art comes here and makes a humorous comment about it.
