What the fuck makes you think I'd put your name on my record?

Who all's your favorite rapper? Personally I like Slug from Atmosphere. He's creative, funny and I often feel a connection with him through his lyrics. Plus it's hard not to like someone who writes

Atmosphere is the shit. I love how Slug pours his very soul out on every track, "Guns and Cigarettes" is one of my favorite songs, I also like "The Woman With the Tattooed Hands" and "National Disgrace." The funny thing is that the record that "Guns and Cigarettes seems to be named after an ex-girlfriend of his, its called "The Lucy Ford E.P.s.

I've been known to groove a little to Tjimba and the Yung Warriors, a little bit of some oldschool American shit (I can't help but break out Young MC's 'Bust a Move' from time to time, and when I'm playing a thug in a game, well, NWA may just come out to play), some Phrase, and a couple of other Aussie guys whose name I can't remember - same with some guys from NZ.

Re: Favorite Rapper
So who is your favorite rapper, Stark?
Or were you just going to do your trademark "the subject of this thread is stupid and everyone who participates in it is a fatty nerd*" thing.
*Which is pretty funny coming from someone with a membership at a Star wars vs. Star Trek website.

Re: Favorite Rapper
So what you're saying is that the only black people are allowed to rap and that because a rapper is white their work is somehow less valid?
PS Slug is half white half black, does that mean he's only half way allowed to rap?

i guess you can quote me saying that right
instead of just getting butthurt
i notice you do not deny what you are talking about is nerd rap

Re: Favorite Rapper
Firstly, so what if I do listen to rap for nerds? I AM a nerd. Secondly, you said
Now I could be mentally retarded or something but it seems clear to me that you're saying that the music previously posted in the thread is bad and your favorite rap is better because it's by black people, which sounds like something a stupid racist cunt would say so maybe I just misunderstood you. You're not a stupid racist cunt are you?is this a thread where nerds talk about the worst rap in history aimed squarely at fat white people?
because my favourite rapper is like, black
Re: Favorite Rapper
Connect the statements. I ask 'is this a thread for rapper xyz' and then said 'because I like rappers abc'. Nothing in the quote you just posted says anything about quality at all. I'll go on the record saying yes, I think your favourite rapper is shit, but that's nothing to do with 'racism'. There were so many white rappers posted I wasn't sure the contribution of coloured rappers would be appreciated, especially if it wasn't aimed at fat nerds.
And truth time? I didn't notice this wasn't in testing. I seriously assumed a thread so content-free wouldnt' be in a real forum. My bad.
But because I hate your stupid face, let's see now

When I asked you to quote me saying this, you posted the quote above, which, obviously, is NOT me saying non-black rap is less valid (or even less good). Oops!idiot wrote:only black people are allowed to rap and that because a rapper is white their work is somehow less valid

Re: Favorite Rapper
Maybe it works differently in Australia but usually when someone says that something is the 'worst in history' and then says something descriptive about what they like they're saying that the attribute they've brought up makes what they like better. Go back to your cave you useless fucking troll.Stark wrote:whoa whoa whoa

Dicksnot, eh, that's a good one, I'll have to remember that the next time I'm climbing up your mum
But seriously, if this
Anyway, I'm not trying to be a dick here, I'm just a fat nerd who likes hip-hop. So, I ask again, who is your favorite rapper, Stark?
But seriously, if this
is going to be the extent of your contribution to this thread, why post at all? Has the Austrailian government hired someone to come to your house every morning and piss in your Cheerios?whoa whoa whoa

Nah, I'm not actually that much of a fan of the Hilltop Hoods. I kinda like them, but really they're just the Austrailian hip-hop group I can think of off the top of my head.loomer wrote:Nah, I'm not actually that much of a fan of the Hilltop Hoods. Then there's always the old school, Boogie Down Productions, Public Enemy, Slick Rick, and The Ultramagnetic M.C.s can also be found in my music collection.

I can't really say I have a favorite rapper, I've just been listing some that I like, if I really had to pick a favorite it would probably be either KRS-ONE or the Rza. Can't believe I didn't mention the Wu-Tang Clan earlier.

Doucheface: What's the deal with (c)rap you guys? It's just talking over a drumbeat! It's not even music!
Chorus: Hurf hurf hurf!
Anyway, early 90's West Coast has really grown on me, probably thanks to the San Andreas soundtrack. It's hard not to like NWA. Listen to Ice Cube and Pearl Jam back to back, and it's pretty easy to understand how suburban white kids gave up on rock in favor of rap en masse.

Allow me to also add Lupe Fiasco:
Lupe Fiasco's remix of Kanye West's "Diamonds from Sierra Leone"--better than the original, and the original is fucking good.

Oh shit, I can't believe I forgot to mention The Lonely Island. I mean, they're absolutely ridiculous, but in terms of comedy value, they're pretty amazing.
