The last thread dates back to 2003. If anyone is still having trouble finding a host or is willing to host for others, this is now the place to go.

Third-party hosts from Mk. I, confirmed:
Shinova wrote:http://www.photobucket.com is your friend.
Bob McDob wrote:I've started using imageshack.us, and I use it exclusively now.
Note that some people have reported slowness and other issues with Imageshack, and they were hacked by Anti-Sec in January 2009.
General Zod wrote:http://www.fapomatic.com - adult pic image host, for those naughty pics you can't host on imageshack.

http://www.paintedover.com - for non adult pics, similar to imageshack or photobucket.
The Grim Squeaker wrote:I'd reccomend http://www.flickr.com for image collections, although it's not that good an image host as something like imageshack.
Note that http://quickrpickr.com/ can harvest images from flickr accounts in pre-formatted posts. This may or may not be to one's liking.

To add: Google offers an online album via its free-to-download program Picasa and a Gmail account.

Regarding QuickrPickr (a great site that I use a LOT) - you'll want to remove the "" from the provided phpbb code. Best way is to use 'replace all " ' on the provided code. Quick and easy.
To add: Google offers an online album via its free-to-download program Picasa and a Gmail account.
As a side note, while it's not something i'd use for that dedicated purpose - you can link to any of your images on a facebook account. (the size is naff though). Right click on the images and "copy image location".

  • Link images back to their flickr page.
  • If you are a Firefox user with Greasemonkey, install this script to make linking easy.

Simple image hosting. No fuss. Image size limit is 3MB.

I use http://www.servimg.com as it has a simple interface and not laggy like photobucket. It has a 2MB limit though.

I have been experimenting with http://www.pict.com as a secondary host, for those images I want to post somewhere but don't want to 'keep.' It has a simple interface and allows unregistered hosting.
