As a long time fan of Futurama, I, and I am sure many others, deeply love the opening theme to the show. However I had heard for a while that the inspiration to the theme came from a Rock video from the 60's. Seeking things out I came across "Pierre Henry" And found not only the roots to Futurama but several other interesting songs.
While this may be another "One of those things everyone else already knows" I find the rock video quite amusing and can't help but appreciate the level of effort and detail that went into the stop motion.

I never knew anything about the subject until now, but that's an awesome find.
