Are you going with the big asymmetric wing because you think it looks good, or because you're trying to lever in the 'F' connection?

If you want to make a fighter look like an "F" it doesn't have to be asymmetrical, simply do vertical Symmetry where the "F" bits are on the top or bottom.
Much more aesthetically pleasing.

That's cool.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

That's a launch bay with shuttles. You can see both shuttle bays in the first image, facing forward. If the size of the person is what's confusing you, Eoghans are supposed to be more like Hobbits than Humans in terms of size (or so Sorchus tells me).

Not the scale, the shape. I thought that might be engines at the front, but there's that blue bit and the big hole in the side and the completely flat bit at the back. It made no sense to me on first viewing.

That's pretty nice. Is that with the free version or Pro (I'm assuming the former); and if free, does it do 2D well? The description on the website seems to imply you need Pro to do 2D.

(older) Free version. The 2D that they are talking about is things like including words and other design elements for presentation, very different than what I think you are talking about. It exports 2D stills easily enough. (ed: though I only know how to get PNG's out)

As for the earlier confussion, I blame sketchup's disgusting habit of messing with uncolored white surfaces. At this point there shouldn't be any color on the model, but large portions have been painted blue.

Eoghan destroyer, based upon daydreaming while looking at clouds.

Ran into some problems while working on the cruiser, so I put it aside. Then life hit and I just got back to thinking about sketchup.

That's pretty novel looking, i like the overall shape with the angular top section draped over the cylinder. Keep at it and we'll see where it goes as you detail it.

The fleet so far. All Eoghan vessels for the STGOD that I have gotten looking decent enough. They all probably need some level of detailing, but I still like them all. I'll have some more shots of the light blue Frigates soon.
