Cool starships is a great tradition in this site, indeed the study of awesome ships such as the classic Star Destroyer is in the very bones of SD.net!
To this end I open up a thread solely devoted to the posting of Cool Starships! From the Awesome, to the silly, to the classic!

To start us off, my favorite StarWars ships...

Marauder Corvette

A classic "Cruz-Mobile" thats both practical, well armed, and sleek and stylish!

Carrack Cruiser

Small, simple, yet robust and versatile. One of my favorite EU ships.

Old Republic Dreadnaught

The Old Dreadnaught, another brutal EU ship, Fear it, FEAR IT!

And of course the Victory ISD

I mean really you have got to love that ship.

BUt I won't post too many all in one go, I am sure everyone else has their own favorite Cool Starships to post.

I'm a big fan of the Mon Calamarian ships too, just not the bullshit EU stuff about it. MC 80abcd crap. Home One, the 3km sized Star Cruiser is nifty.

HomeOne and the "Winged Liberty" Moncal ships really are pleasing to the eye. In the Starwars "Warlords" download, I always build them even though they are virtually useless as Warships

On another note, I feel StarTrek can't been mentioned without adding the following:

Miranda Class starship, closest Starfleet ever got to a menacing looking ship

On another note, here is a blast from the past:

The GTD Orion, showing that a giant slab of armour with guns and a runway can still look neat.

And finally the ship most likely to frustrate you for the two thirds of the Freespace 2 campain, the NTF Iceni.

Romulan Valdore Warbird, I think one of the best Star Trek designs in years



One of my favorite B5 designs, Earth Alliance Warlock Class

Almost forget this... The movie was badass and the ship was more-so, despite it being a spoof of Trek, the Ship itself has such an awesome sleek look to it.

Two from S:AAB

SCVN Saratoga. Effectively a space-faring carrier/landing ship combo. And check out that airwing complement


And the ISSCV/ISSAPC a nice, modular troop/cargo truck.
