My birthday is coming up soon and I am planning to make a Star Wars Themed Diorama-style Cake that will be based on a scene from one of the movies. This thread will be the final repository for the cake as soon as I have it finished. I am still in the planning phase but anyone who wants to can speculate here on what scene I will be attempting to recreate. I already have set aside most of the candies I need for much of the sculpting.

You can then all make fun of how terrible of a job I do not getting it exactly perfect.

Update: I've finished the cake and will load the pictures of it as soon as I have them available. I'll save revealing the scene until I have the pics up.

The Cake is now finished.

I hope that this is up to my usual standard. Let me know what you think of the finished cake.

That's a cool cake. Is the X-Wing more cake? or a scupture of icing?

Sugar Cookies and royal icing.

I like it, but I think with a little extra work you could have mixed some separate colors to make this cake really pop - grey or white for the x-wing, some blue-brown for the swamp water, green-brown for the shore.

The cake matches the colors from the swamp in the movie. I made sure that the color matches the greyish-green that was used for the ground and water in the movie. I do admit that it isn't as good as I'd like it to be as I was very busy during the time I needed to make it so only had half of the time I wanted to work on it. I'm sure if I had more actual time i would have put more time into getting the X-Wing perfect(which I barely finished). I barely had the cake finished for my birthday party.

I wish I did manage to get the ground up Oreo cookies onto the cake around the base of the trees.
