Duelling Rallies [IvP]

Just saw the most surreal thing (outside of a dream) since the start of the year - .. two opposing protests/rallies in the Hebrew university today at the same time and place. One pro hamas, one against the rockets attacks/pro Israel. Totally unreal.
It DOES Make me incredibly proud of our country and people.

Seriously, if you had a bunch of Germans doing a pro-Deutschland rally in the middle of the blitz, or a group of NY Imans protesting pro Al-Quida the day after 9/11... They'd not only have not gotten permission (and uni provided security), they'd probably have risked physical violence (or getting lynched in the USA).
Here, the worst that happened was some shouting from a (Jewish) man whose brother died from a rocket a few days ago, and aggressively toned singing of the national anthem (with only half the crowd singing).

Nah, not molotovs. Just regular bottles. Usually empty. Can´t waste the good beer after all.
