As per suggestion, I'm working on a new Yoda avatar to present to Mr. Michael Wong, and I want to get some feedback on my first concept.

This actually took awhile to get right in terms of the coloring, but what do people think? Or does anyone have suggestions for an entirely new direction?

Request an Avatar from Marc Xavier. But be quick about it, I'm not going to do this forever.

While waiting for replies in my avatar request thread, I tossed together an avatar for Master of Ossus as well:

The size limit for avatars is a little over 6 KB, although I don't know the exact byte size. Version 1 and 2 are probably too large.

I'd personally use PNG instead of GIF too.

I'll keep that in mind and try to size reduce. Although I suspected that Mike, being the owner of the site, could easily bypass the size limit if he so wished.

I'm with Iggy. I really don't like any of them either.

That's cool. Any suggestions? I wanted to do something with Yoda material but I have a limited amount of media to draw from. Obviously I want this to be good, whatever it turns out to be.

Are you gonna design some avatars for the rest of us?

Yoda looks a little squished vertically in the pics. you know the max for avatars is 100x100 pixels.

Chalk that one up to responding before reading the full post. I gotta stop doing that.

Personally, I really don't like any of them more than his current one.

I dislike them all, and no matter what the "Darth Wong" text should die fast. Its an avatar, and thus going to be directly under his username.

Well, the 3rd one does have a nice color contrast to it. But I'm pretty mch neutral on this issue.

Looks squashed horizontally.

Yoda's not bad. But the BEST picture I ever saw, that made me laugh out loud, was a photoshopped pic of Mike's head on what I believe was the Emperor or Dooku's body, shooting lightning.

Mike had this funny grin on his face which made the picture hilarious.

I PMed Mike a while back about borrowing the larger image he used for his avatar, and later replied back with three pictures of it I did in Photoshop.

Two of them were rather too funny-looking, but the first one wasn't too bad, so I'll post it here if anyone wants to see it:

That's cool. It really makes Yoda look creepy and pissed.
