My family's coat of arms

My name is Tyler Day. I'm one half Irish, one quarter Spanish, and 1 quarter English. Just last week, I saw a poster of the coats of arms of Irish families, and I found Day on it.
Neat, huh? Here's what the website
www.irishsurnames.com has to say about it
O'Dea
The Irish name O'Dea is derived from the native Gaelic O'Deaghaidh Sept that was located in County Clare in the West of the country. There are a number of variants of this name including Day, O'Dee Daw and even Godwin in County Mayo. It is in the Western Counties that the majority of descendants can still be found.

Ayris
Mine, although I have no idea what it looks like as my browser appears to be playing silly buggers. If someone could do me a favour and post a screen cap of the image, it would be much appreciated. Although I take it with a pinch of salt, according to various sources, the name Ayris could come from the moon for all we know. According to one source, its a corruption of 'heiress', in another, its french, in another, scottish. And the shield is supposed by one of these companies which my uncle had a look at, to be a red shield with 3 white doves on it.

Well, my last name, "Gillis" is Scottish, IIRC. However, my Mother's family is as follows:
My Grandmother's last name, on the other hand, is
Carney. Which I also discovered is the name of a US Navy warship! I feel so proud!
EDIT: Anyone know where to find a Scottish COA? I'm pretty sure that's where "Gillis" is from. And I know there's a Gillis COA out there; I've seen it.

Aww, that high number of noblemen visiting the board makes commoners like me feel envious. But at least Mike Wong doesn't have a coat-of-arms. (although his in-laws might have)

Isn't the Fleur de Lis a French symbol?

Oh, Don't feel envious. If we nobles didn't have villeins like you, we'd actually have to work for a living.

PS: Now that I think about it, it's more likely to get noticed as another post than an Edit.

What's the good thing about being a henchman??
(ponders the question)
Well, seriously?

Villein didn't mean henchman in the middle ages. The word is closer to "peasant" in meaning. So go out and start working my lands, peon!

Not necessarily. I just found McCarthy.
McCarthy
EDIT: SWC's problem might have been that they don't alphabetize by "Mc", only by the surname (Donnel instead of O'Donnel, Carthy instead of McCarthy).
