My avatar....

I took an extra look at my avatar, which many of you probably know is the alien from the cover of "Communion" - or, as I call him, Jerry The Stereotypical Grey Alien. (Okay, on that book cover he appears tan, not grey. Aside from that, she still looks like a Grey.)
As my eyes fell upon the alien's mouth and I noticed that this extraterrestrial fiend appeared to be smiling. (or is it just me?)
This causes me to raise the question - why would the painter of the cover to "Communion" paint Jerry The S.G.A. as if he was smiling??
A Grey who's smiling. Well, I seem to discover a new oddity every day.
BTW, I do not believe Strieber that much. His past as a horror author, and the wackiness of his post-Communion books on the subject of ETs and UFOs, make him a rather dubious authority on the phenomenon. In fact, the fact that SGAs are anatomically unsound (plus my common sense) makes me quite skeptical on the subject of the paranormal. Still, some day I wanted to celebrate that I no longer have an irrational fear of drawings of SGAs.
