She's been a Lieutenant Colonel before Rabb made Commander, but so far as I know, not a full Colonel (with eagles, not a silver oak leaf).

No, she was made full Col. before Harm got his full Commander rank. By a few months. Makes her higher rank, therefore that's how she got the job of being judge.

Well, full Colonel would make her senior to Rabb if he's only a Commander, regardless of Date of Rank. Harm would need to make Captain before Date of Rank came into play.

And weren't they still switching back and forth on that (Harm was a judge too in an episode, though I think Mac's done it more)?

I do know Rabb was a judge in the case of an aviator/flight officer's (don't remember which) death though, and Mac got all pissed at him over it.

I haven't really watched this show alot since when it all comes down to it, it's just another lawyer show, but Mackenzie is in the army right? And Harm is in the navy, or was it airforce?
