First off: I take absolutely no credit for this picture.


With that bit out of the way, there's something different about this scene. What is it?

Damn, someone sure as hell knows how to clean a room!

Um... Its a CGI image? (just a wild crazy guess, but since its called model_interior.jpg and 3d model was my first thought when I read model_interior...)

It's a miniature?

Its obvious that its CG, honestly.

No TV.

Aside from being a kick-ass CG, I don't see anything wrong, except my maid missed a spot over there on the right...

Yeah, it's CGI. Done via Softimage.

The pillows and plants gave it away completely. Each pillow has the same dents in the same places, and the plants are exactly the same. The cleanliness and precision gave it away, too, but not as definitively.

The artist ought to have rotated each plant about 45-90 degrees. Thats all you need to do to simulate different plant. I'm also seeing polys on the base of the verticle lamp in the forgraound. Very decent render though.

The floor also kind of gives it away: too reflective. It looks like it has a sheet of glass over it.

That's the first thing I noticed as well.

The closet door and the door in the back of the room both have too much light reflecting off of them.

Edit: Oh, I meant to say that it's very well done.

Some of those reflections don't look right to me.. I can't see the things that are in the reflections..
