Opinions please. Constructive criticism is good, but be harsh. Be brutal. Then fuck off. ;p

'Drag Queen' sums it up nicely; murky appearance, uninspired, and possibly reveals a lack of appreciation of the original picture or the vurtue of minimalism in general.

Uh scuse me? Lack of appreciation of the original sketch? The original sketch was not meant to be minimalistic, it was created for the PURPOSE of being painted in digitally.

Yes, but your coloration does not work with the original in a proper manner. It somehow manages to
remove the depth and sharpness of the original lineart.
How long did it take you to do?

Yeah well this is art, you should know that there is no absolute value with art.

Photoshop. There is a tutorial in the CA mag I got the pic from but it required software I didn't have, and I wanted to make something without using tutorials.
::glomps fuzzy::
Warspite: Sorry about that, my server shut down for some reason last night and it doesn't automatically return to windows so my server stays off until I put it back on.

You need some darker tones to enhance shadows and give volume to the face. (Ok, now I can fuck-off...)

added some shadowing. the compression is down alot so there might be some nasty artifacting.

Bah. I don't know what to do, honestly. I'm not much of a fine artist. :p

Better, but she looks like she stores nuts in her mouth.
Unless it's Anna, which would be accurate.

Don't stress out, I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler!
(I'm exagerating, of course.)
You've managed a pretty good pic, drawing any part of the human body is very hard, just keep on drawing, you'll end up getting it right.

. . .
ME: Koji, your artwork messes up the original.
KOJIKUN: It's supposed to mess up the original.
ME: Koji, your artwork isn't very good.
KOJIKUN: It's not supposed to be very good.
ME: Koji, your artwork sucks royally.
KOJIKUN: Because all artwork, in truth, sucks royally?
Only yours Koji; only yours.

You really need to tone down the makeup. WAAAAAY to much.
I really like the nose. You got that just right. Right on the nose.
