A drawing I did yesterday morning before bed:

I think it looks fairly shitty.. but I was tired, but not sleepy when I did it. Didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to, but oh, well.

I gotta be honest, verilon. I didn't like it. I know you were tired, perhaps you do much better well-rested. I have no basis for comparison, so I'm just giving my initial reaction...sorry bro...

Actually, I think it's pretty shitty myself. I don't do too much better when I draw people whether well-rested or not. I'm much better at still life and landscape. But I'm definitely best at dragons and abstract.

LOL ver, some of those have a very surreal feel to them. I think you need a fonzie-esque self portrait to go with them..."Eyyyyyyyyyy!"

You make me want to bump my angelus thread to get some ego-strokage.

Meh, i just got a scanner today, so i probably will.

EDIT: Chardok, go to my thread and look at my dragon pic.

I'm not much of an artist myself, but I think your problem may be that the figure is too stiff overall. Do you draw a skeleton before you doodle? Helps a lot, I find.

You should expand the cartoons into a comic

I hope by skeleton you mean basic body frame, because drawing a skeleton would be a waste of time.

Yeah. Though I've found sketching the human skeleton by itself is helpful for understanding poses better.

Ver sweety, if you need inspiration for a dragon attacking a town... Go watch the movie Dragonslayer a few times. Vermemithrax(sp) destroying medieval villages... oh sweet evil...

And as for thr "skeletons," I've tried before, but my drawings never seem to come out in the right way/proportional.
