Let me introduce you to the cast. :)

These are the Pilot and Copilot of the Runner Scoutship for my upcoming short 'Dragons'

Crits welcome but please be kind. This is basically my first character work... well... ever. Right now all they do is blink their eyes, but I ought to have some skeletal work done in the eyebrows and cheeks by the end of the day.

Faces modeled in Maya based on, and then textured with, photo elements, the helmet was modeled in Rhino.

I'm seriously considering cutting out the rest of the cast. I was planning on showing the bridge of the command ship with Captian and Tacticle officer characers, but may forgo that in favor of getting the film out much more quickly.
If I take this route the bridge dialague will be heard through the Scoutship comms system.

And by the way, does anyone have a body I could borrow? I can't seem to locate my copy of Poser... any help in that department would be much appreciated, and I'll put you in the credits even if I just use the body you give me as a guide. If someone wanted to actually make a body with full pilot gear on for me, I would bake that person a big batch of cookies. You can email me at fsstw@uaf.edu

Their expressions look too......frightened.

Of course, having some frightened expressions are good, but it's not good if they look like that ALL the time. :D

So yeah, expressions need work, but fine otherwise.

I don't have higher resolution textures so I think I need to just keep the faces farther away from the camera.

I'm considering making the eyes seperate objects, but I probaby wont...

The real disadvantage to have to this is that while they can blink and move their head around to see, their pupils will never move. Aslong as they are far enough from the camera though maybe this wont matter.

I worked on the helmet texture a bit.

It looks like they just dropped a log in their space suits after seeing something. But a love their helmets!
