and with the Grand Fancy Dress Holiday coming up, would anyone be interested in an SDnet Cosplay Competiton?
(please note, dissing cosplay in this thread or any other will result in me not entering, as per previous threat)

No. I don't mind people not wanting a contest.
This was a reference to a thread in OT where dressing up was considered more geeky than having huge arguments abut who would win a fight, and I threatened not to post pics of myself in fancy dress if it continued.
In other words, a joke.

Well, only so I can show off my piratey goodness when it comes to Halloween, although I did make a rather convincing gestapo officer for a murder mystery party, I'd post pics, but it's hardly the most tasteful costume I've ever worn, in character or not.

I'm one of those strange people who isn't going to cosplay unless I actually resemble the character at least vaugely.
EDIT: I suppose I could post a picture of the l33test Vash cosplayer ever, if I can find the damn pic.

A few notable costumes from AnimeIowa 2003:
I talked to this guy for a while, and his hair (and goatee) are usually dyed that color, and he wears the eyebrows all the time.
Proof? He showed me his college student ID card.
Hey, it's my next-door neighbor! He ran around with some of his buddies and did a series of "Soujero vs Everybody" pictures, but I dunno where those are.
These nerds are in my Japanese class. The guy on the right insists he wasn't cosplaying.
Scary...
She almost took out my eye with that shoulder-thing.
Best Vash cosplayer ever, with a nice Faye cosplayer. Seriously, this guy is obcessive. You can't see his boots, or the back of his coat, but trust me... the only thing he hasn't got is a robotic arm.
This deranged individual got an Honerable Mention in the cosplay contest.
