Well, i personally think that's cool, after all, even if it is mecha, it's a transformer, a staple TV diet of the children of late 80s/early 90s. Should beat those EVA biomechas at any rate.

As for the image: I'm kinda neutral about it.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

[partial HAB brainwashing]Redundant. Mecha are only useful on extremely rough terrain. Something that big doesn't have problems with extremely rough terrain. Illogical.

That said, nice pic.

Cllm yourself and remember how large of a Death Star III we can build for the same resources, and how much more potent it will be without wasting 90% of its volume on equipment that exists simply to facilitate transforming.Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:They have turned the ultimate repulsor-tank into a mecha! I'd say it would be more than that. In fact, it looks like that all of the equipment you see on the transformed version wouldn't fit in the DS. And wouldn't it be hard to make a several-hundred kilometer tall mecha flexible as well?Sea Skimmer wrote:Cllm yourself and remember how large of a Death Star III we can build for the same resources, and how much more potent it will be without wasting 90% of its volume on equipment that exists simply to facilitate transforming.Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:They have turned the ultimate repulsor-tank into a mecha! Are you mad! That's a piss-take, surely? That thing never fitted in there originally, did it. Easy enough to animate if I could be arsed to build it, I'd just build it 2 or 3 metres high, then scale it up to fit inside a Death Star model. Then all you do is chop the deathstar up into the sections and stick it on him. Easy enough to animate, but I'm buggered if I'm making a Transformer that detailed!Chardok wrote:I wonder if it would be possible for Kenny to render something like that? perhaps even animate it?
