Kenny_10_Bellys!
Thank you everyone for participating in the October Halloween Art contest. To those who've won, feel proud that you've gone through the extra effort to produce the works you've made!
I suppose this is a good time to discuss rewards, how we'll showcase this (Beowulf had an idea about that) and to discuss future competitions.
Again, to everyone: Great job!

I really have to ask, why is fortunecity blocking the pictures?

Because they're bastards.

And because most people can still see them, so it must be on your side.
Reminder: The other entries are in their respective threads in the A&P forum.

I'm actually somewhat surprised that I didn't get any votes. Not one.
And that's not me being egotistical or fishing for sympathy points or something: I'm genuinely surprised about it...

I'm actually surprised quartet didn't get a vote either. Why no one would vote for yours or Kuja's is understandable.
I'm sure it had nothing to do with your behavior.

Well, we all know the real reason no one voted for mine is because you're all uncultured sons of bitches who couldn't appreciate abstract art if it shoved itself up your asses, but I was just curious about it.
And that's my last post for the night. Good night, I love you.

Huh. I'm surprised that you actually bothered to put mine in the voting, since I dropped out back around the 2nd due to Spanky's constant whining.

Come now Ladies and Gentlemen, lets have no unseemly scuffles in the gallery! This is art, and we are here to celebrate those who gave it a damn good shot and let the winners bask in the heady glow of the limelight.
Might we now hear what the subject of the next competition is going to be about, I believe the winners get to pick? I don't think it will matter if the 2D and 3D are different since we seem to have split them in to two categories, but it might beinteresting if both techniques have the same challenge. What say you, Shinova and Rye?

Somewhere back in the original thread, someone said that we should probably decide the next contest's subject as a group, not just the winners choose.
Or maybe Rye has a great idea, cause I currently don't have any.

Oh shit i have to think of a new one now don't i...hmmm....
Erumm...i'll have a wave of inspration later tonight, i'll get back to that one.
Oh and spanky: abstract art sucks ass. The picture i enetered for that contest is WAY better than any shit that wins the Turner prize..that goddamn whore of an award(and 10 000 pounds) pisses me off every single year. Fuck modern art, fuck it till it dies then sell it's carcass to the necrophilia/scatological porn trade.

While Rye's views may be a little extreme, the sentiment is obviously shared by the majority of the general public. Look at the voting we just had for evidence of that, a recognisable image that fitted the design criteria beat everything else hands down. The dark side may be easier, more seductive to the less patient, but it doesn't give you the results.

Perhaps, but I like it and it's fun to do.
I need to find a way to show examples of my work. A lot of it is far better than what I entered for the contest.

I just though I'd put up the winner's name, and a link to their work, for the winner's gallery. If we can host the winners on SD.net instead of on a range of disparite websites, even better. I'll see what I can do.
