When I first saw that one, I didn't believe it... until I put it in Photshop and found that they both had the same RGB value!
I just did the same thing. I love when the human brain makes assumptions that aren't technically correct.DPDarkPrimus wrote:When I first saw that one, I didn't believe it... until I put it in Photshop and found that they both had the same RGB value!
There's an easy way to defeat the illusion. Put your finger along the edge of the shadow that's cast by the green cylinder. Now look at the 2 squares again and they'll appear to be the same colour. Fun stuff.StormTrooperTR889 wrote:I copied that picture into Paint and used the eyedropper to confirm it. Crazy indeed.
I'll have to take your word for it ... I still see them as different.aerius wrote:There's an easy way to defeat the illusion. Stand back and you'll see an old woman's face facing an old man's face.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:Those are pretty neat optical illusions, although I don't get the last one with the two Mexican guys.
Or if you stand back further, you can see a golden goblet.verilon wrote:Stand back and you'll see an old woman's face facing an old man's face.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:Those are pretty neat optical illusions, although I don't get the last one with the two Mexican guys.
Didn't have to stand back at all for that one.. just need to take your focus off the sides.Crayz9000 wrote:Or if you stand back further, you can see a golden goblet.verilon wrote:Stand back and you'll see an old woman's face facing an old man's face.Asst. Thats because the optical illusion is caused by the surronding squares being darker, not the actual edge of the shadow.. i think >_<Crown wrote:I'll have to take your word for it ...
