None of these pictures were taking by me. I helped out some of the photographer's mates a few times and they always wanted to give people who helped them photos that they took.
Personally, If you can get the gig being a photographer's mate on a carrier looks to be a pretty cool deal.
Anyway, some of these pictures are rather large so they're inlined.
In case anyone asks. The ship is going 30+ knots, or maybe it's 33+ knots but there's no way it more than 35 knots.

Too bad I'm Australian, and we don't have Carriers - much to my frustration.

I guess you'll just have to keep an eye out for when we swing down and do some donuts around your little island.
I went to Freemantle/Perth with my ship. I assume that they ocassionally hit some other cities. Perth seems to be popular though. Of course the next visit might have to wait until 10 years after this Iraq/Bush stuff is over.

Laugh it up, navyboy! Our SAS troopers will be paying you a visit in the middle of the night, then we'll see how well you sleep.

I remembering hearing on the news: just before the Iraq War, you guys were practicing with our guys on an uninhabited part of the coastline. Then one of our braindead politicians who was opposed to the war came out in like a boat and said "We're here to protest blah blah" Dear god, what is it about my country that promotes dickheads to positions of authority?
The only time I ever went onto a ship (or boat as is the case) was this Russian sub that was in Sydney. It was
very claustrophobic. But still cool.
Next time you guys come around to Melbourne, let me know? *salutes*

Yes. We had a carrier, the HMAS Melbourne. (yay!) I don't know why we don't have any carriers now, it would rock being on one. Why does Brazil have carriers?

Yup, and now they have the Clemenceau.
They dominate the world on soccer, soon they'll dominate the world on second-hand-30(plus)-years carriers.
