here's my first animation with anim8or and my first serious attempt at three dimensional art. Enjoy (i plan on creating a starscape and adding stuff like engine effects later).

How much harder is it to animate once you've got the model down, out of interest?

Modelling and animating are 2 entirely different skills, there's no real comparison between the two.
Darth, you might want to look into using a compression codec such as DivX or Intel Indeo instead of leaving the video uncompressed. That's why your zip file of the animation was only 700k and unzipped the full 2 seconds of animation weigh in at a hefty 25 meg. If you'd compressed it with something like DivX during creation then the animation would have been just a few hundered kilobytes.
