Nice job.

Yet there's something I couldn't figure. Do these come in sets? Like having all the required parts but unassambled? Or you just get a bunch of random parts and try to see hiw they can combine?

For the Warthog, I bought a green LEGO pullback car and canabilized parts from my Slave I. For the Z-95, I just grabbed several Airplane peices I've had sitting in boxes. The Imperial Base is different, though. The AT-ST, AT-AT, Speeder Bikes, and Shuttle are all real sets you could buy. The base and platform itself, however, I built from random peices that, again, I had sitting in boxes.

So, it's kind of a combination of the two.

Cool, but LEGO is the plural of the word like sheep and sheep.

FUCKING AWESOME!!!

How long did it take you to construct?

The Z-95 took a few hours to find the right parts. The Warthog took all of this afternoon since I had to figure out how I wanted to do it. The Imperial Base is really an ongoing project that started over the summer, I believe. Right now it is in phase 2.75 and is currently under Rebel Control.

That LEGO shit rocks, man. I would do it myself, but I gave all my LEGO to my nephews - curse my old age. :?

You need no LEGO. You need no LEGO.

LEGO means nothing to you.

I've been considering picking up the AT-TE and AT-AT when the price comes down. Are they good models, and can they actually stand up on their own?

Actually, I have a comparison pic.

The AT-TE is not a bad set, but I got a first generation version which did have leg troubles. If you get a set with leg problems, you can send away for a mod set directly from LEGO.com for free. I recomend it if you have space and love Clone Wars stuff.

The AT-AT is an almost perfect set. It stands fine, but be warned of the head. The head has a some-what flimsy design and is prone to falling off if you move it around too much. Otherwise, it is very solid set, and I highly recommend it.

What about the fighters? X-wing, TIE Advanced etc? How many fighters are there?

Posted: 2004-03-14 11:15pm
by Crazy Goji
Let's see. Let me name the fighters off of the top of my head that you could buy.

Gray X-wing (discontinued)
Gray Snowspeeder (discontinued)
Y-wing and Vader TIE set (discontinued)
Naboo Fighter (discontinued)
Trade Fed Droid Fighter (discontinued but easily found at KB Toys)
TIE Fighter (discontinued)
A-wing (discontinued)
B-wing (discontinued)
Boba's Slave I
Jango's Slave I
Jedi Starfighter
Twin-Pod Cloud Car
Geonosian Fighter
T-16 Skyhopper
TIE Bomber
Dagobah X-wing
White Snowspeeder

I don't own many fighters, personally. I wish I picked them up when I had the chance. Every now and then, however, they will rerelease certain sets.

I fuckin' wish they had these when I was a kid. They would have been so badass to play with and go up against the Ice Planet and alien guys with.

Those are awesome. I still have my little bases I set up once and a while to start little battles with myself.

I made a nice one-man submarine using only parts from the Vader TIE/B-Wing set. I've still got it in one piece, too.

Stop it! All this talk of LEGO makes me want to rush out and buy a $100 set. :(

Ah, but the power to destroy a planet is insignificant to the power of the Force. I don't have any pictures yet, but I have the Technic Vader and the giant Yoda.

Plus I have no room in my house for one. THe only ISD I own is the MINI version.
