Dragon Alien Character v3.0

Yet another start from scratch. I've only got the head and hands started so far, but then I've only been working on it for one night...

Notice that the hands have two sets of fingers, one above the other, one with claws (which fold up under the wrist when not in use) and one with opposable digits. It's part of an attempt to make this alien look both menacing and intellegent.
The other thing I'm attempting is a blend of his actual body and the organic armor he wears. His body should look somewhat artificial in places.
Thoughts? Critiques? Any advice is most welcome... keeping in mind that this is still a very early WIP, so more detail will come later, I'm just working on the basics right now.

Good start, if you could keep the faintly skeletal/spiny look, it should be pretty cool, something not quite sinuous, but certainly not a massive chunky beast.

I think you should invert the place of the fingers: put the claws on top and let the oposable ones underneath. Those claws, though menacing, don't look like they allow a good grip.
And again I must ask for a brighter image. The contrast is to low.
Otherwise it looks pretty good.

I can't see a damn thing. Stop making your renders so damn dark.

This is the only board where I get complaints about the renders being too dark, (and the only board where I get yelled at for posting images directly) when I make them bright enough for you, the other 4 boards I post on complain about them being too bright so... what would you do?
I value you input, I really do, but enough of the "it's to dark" comments. They arn't going to get any brighter, so if thats all you have to say, don't bother. Sorry, I really, really, don't mean to be rude, but I'm getting tired of it.

Stop making them so damn dark. Fuck the other board, I want to actually see what I'm looking at.

Ignore him, Fuzzy. I see it just fine.

Perhaps it's your eyes, Spanky? I'm not having any problems seeing the details, never have done to on any of FM's work. Then again, it could be just one of those things that my eyes can actually deal with.

Nothing's wrong with my eyes or monitor, and I am exaggerating a bit. But I find it annoying when some details in these things just disappear. One time you did make them brighter and it was perfect, because you could actually get an idea of what it looked like as a whole in clarity.

Actually the brightness of my monitor is always at top. If you can't make it brighter so be it. Maybe both I and Spanky have monitors with darker image. Alhough this is understandable considering the age of the one I own (hope not for such a long time)

The nose has too much stuff on it, but if the nose has too little stuff, it would suck. The fingers are like Freddy's! Just fix it though, since the claws prohibit the articulation of the fingers, the claws are in the wrong place. And they're too long, perhaps you could make them shorter but more menacing.
And maybe you could make your models darker, but make your background white, maybe that could solve some problems.

I like it, looks more similar to the ships, though i'm not too sure what was going on with the hand.
