This thread is meant to house that old, crappy first test of your "skills." If you still have it. Here is my first photoshop ever (you can tell it's ancient, since I wasn't shaving back then!):

Not exactly Photoshop, but Corel Photopaint, but still fundamentally the same thing. This was so far back that I don't know which of the following two was my very first "photoshop" but here they are anyway:

This was my first attempt in Photoshop at the start of the year, I openned it up and did a free hand green squiggle, 20 minutes later I had this. Not bad for my first time eh?

I would show them, but I can't seem to locate any of those Photoshop 3.0 PSDs from 1996.

These are all from 3+ years ago, which makes me feel aged and nostalgic.

My first photoshop (actually, it was ArcSoft Photostudio 2000) was an image of Wong's head photoshopped on top of an image of Count Dooku shooting force lightning. I seem to recall RayCav was particularly fond of it, which should tell you something.

I don't seem to have it, but this is of roughly the same vintage, and nearly as bad:

The saddest part is that my skills haven't improved measurably ... :\ I do use GIMP now though, which makes the text easier to read.

This was around the time of the infamous "Dilliest Story Ever" when the insane creative juices flowed like seamen from the phallus-sea as I found out what the various things in psp did.
