Thought I'd start a thread, where you can post pictures of works of your favourite artists. For the purpose of this thread by "artist "I mean someone whos works would be in an Art gallery, though if you want you can post stufdf by other types of artists (such as comic artists if you particularly like their work, or some of the stuff by fedx2k4)

Anyway I'll start of with works by two of my favourite artists (I might post more later).

Firstly: one of Gauguin's works

Secondly: A work by Peter Randle (Yes my father is one of my favourite artists, he is family

Not too sure about "real" artists, but for beautiful comic pictures you can't go far wrong with Deacon Black. (EDIT: NSFW in places)

My personal favorite artist is Hans-Werner Sahm. I've got a print of Refugee hanging in my living room right now as a matter of fact.

Salvador Dali is #1, for me at least.

Ivan Albright is most godly with a paintbrush.

Robert Williams makes sweet love to my mind with every brushstroke.

Todd Schorr, while derivative of Robert Williams, gives us Walt Disney vs Salvador Dali!

Joe Coleman, so deliciously disturbed.

Albrecht Durer is on my top ten list of historical personalities I'd want to meet.

What, no Ruyo? Can't think of any artists off hand, but I do like Chris Moeller, his art in Iron Empires is astounding.

I have the Accolade hanging in my living room as well as a God Speed.

And by all means, there are a shit load of other Pre Raphaelites that are as good. Check out the websites!

my all time favorite artist is Jack Kirby, who i'm sure you all know.
the 2nd is Ed "big daddy"Roth, creator of rat fink.
Comics wise, I also dig Adam Hughes, Yukito Kushiro (Battle Angel Alita)Art Adams and Dave Stevens.
Frank i am definitely down with the Robt. and Todd, plus Coop!, Alphonse Mucha, Gil Elvgren and George Petty.

I'll also have to mention Gustave Dore.

I can't believe I forgot about Dali *slaps forehad* he is also one of my favourites.

Tried the link, but as always, I have much trouble accessing dev art sites. Probably cookie probs, but it doesn't bother me much, since many artists have mirror sites. Sorry dude/dudette (?), but I haven't gotten around to solving the problem yet, and won't for a while. Can you direct link from dev art?
