Well, since I don't have any pictures of my self for the self-portrait challenge, I figure I'll start a contest of sorts for pictures which you've taken. I'm still getting all my stuff scanned & organized, but here's a couple to start things off.

Taken with a POS $0.50 35mm camera. This is the only photo I have of anything in particular. There's a building here called the Death Star. This is a picture of its northern spire.

Gateway Arch in St. Louis. Probably the best photo I've ever taken.

I'm no photographer. My photography style is limited to simply centering my subject in the shot and pushing the button. My knowledge of lighting is similarly nonexistent; I can only take good pictures outdoors in the sunlight. I don't really know how to take "artistic" photos, and if someone in one of my photos looks good, it's most certainly not due to my limited photography skills. Nevertheless, I offer up this picture of my sons playing in the backyard on an autumn day:

Raxmei: I really like the angle you chose for that picture, next time think about leaving more space around it and have your subject matter somewhere that isn't dead center.

Oberleutant: I really like that first picture, the lighting and compostion is wondderful. Not so into the next two, but the last is quite interestign.

Aeserius: Wonderful, the lighting and angel are just to die for.

Darth Wong: Eeee you have cute babies and that's a well shot picture.

Faram: O.O Stunning. Just lovely. That's how a landscape should look. Compostion, rule of thirds, texture, lighting, angel, colours, focus all of it just awesome.

Col. Crackpot: The composition and colours are very nice.

Darth Mall: I don't care for the first picture, but the second is quite nice if a little blank. The angel is straight and so is the wall.

Is that everyone? I think so.

That one in the cave I took by just pointing my camera up and taking a photo randomly. I actually couldn't see the top of the cave before I took the picture.

Anyhoo heres another picture i took while on vacation:

Thanks, bohemian. :)

Do you mind if I ask what camera you have?

Edit: Might as well put this pic here, too.

It was taken early at dawn while walking the dog. I better stop spamming the thread with my pics now! Please guys (and gals), post more of your stuff!

Well normally I would use my Digimax V50 but that's in Jamaica currently. My avatar, signature and the first in the self-portrait were shot with that. The color ones and the latest two on the self portrait thread and the current color ones you see were shot with a camcorder that takes stills that I begged off of a friend for the week.

Crackpot, that's a lovely photo, but it's messing up the formatting a bit. Any way you can shrink it?

Nice waterfall shot, like the long exposure for making the soft look :)
