Technically, but a black man that's been surgically altered so much that he no longer looks like a black man at all can hardly have any slurs based on appearance seriously be considered racist, can he? I mean in other ways it's possible, but if he looks nothing like a black man anymore, how could it possibly be reasonably interpreted to say that black men look like apes?

Because there's a long legacy of racist imagery comparing black people to apes. This alludes to the same images.

There's no technically about it. Helena B-C is dressed like an ape, Whacko Jacko is a black man.

Well, humans aer apes anyway, just because MJ happened to be black doesn't mean he doesn't look like the female of a fictional ape species in popular culture, it could be done with a white person when one of those looks like a fictional or real ape too.
