Holy shit. That American Alligator must be a 12+footer. You dont see them very often anymore

As to the others... dismemberment is consistent with crocidilian feeding behavior, but the animal is probably not an alligator. I think it is C. porosis, though, cant be sure at that angle

Crocodile fans on the links can take heart, though: according to Men's Health magazine, one of the 10 most dangerous golf courses in the world is Lost City Golf Course, Sun City, South Africa, where the 13th green is fronted by a stone pit filled with crocodiles, some 15 feet long.

Now that's a water hazard.

I might even watch golf a little if they played on that course.

Yeah, the Asian and Australian salties are vicious. The ones off of India and Bangladesh often have developed a taste for human flesh, too, from all of the monsoon victims that wash up.

Thepics aren't that gross. I never would have thought that anyone would cut open a crocidile and find that though. It had to be pretty full.

I think the fact that it was human body parts is what upset some people.

IMO there have been lots worse things on here, which is partially why it didn't even dawn on me that it might be upsetting when I first posted it but I thought the complaints were valid enough (minus the "ass" comment

) to de-inline the two pictures and add warnings to my post (MoO added the warnings to the thread title).

If I remember the nature shows I've watched on crocs well enough I think that they can gorge themselves and then not have to eat for a long time so I don't think that croc was killed from eating too much.

Nah. They routinely eat large shit, then they let it digest for a bunch of weeks (sometimes months).
