Ok new at these boards how do I post pictures that I have on my hard drive.

You'll have to upload them to a server or something. I recommend http://www.photobucket.com.

Then you'll just have to post the hotlink here.

Ok have the pictures on photobucket how can I post smaller picture of the one I have uploaded.

Ok got that part figured out the only problem is the pic thats posted is 188K how can I make it smaller or do I have compress the file then uploaded it.

Compressed, then upload to photobucket, or whoever you're using.

load picture
hit "save as"
file type jpg
set quality to lower and size to smaller
hit ok

or download the gimp. i don´t use it but i´m sure the gimp can do the trick as well.
even that pice of shit called MS Photo Draw, which comes with MS Office can do that.
and no, they don´t have cheap versions anywhere. photshop is around 250€.
perhaps you find it cheaper on ebay.

use irfanview if all you're doing is resizing. there's a link to it in the image tools thread.
