Lots of talent shown by everyone, my vote goes to Antares, though.
His detail and nearly "organic" look in his images is what pegged it for me.
Very nice.
Warspite gets a runner-up, not only for skill but for his entering
a single image for judging. Thoughtful and professional of him.

Life is all the eternity you get, use it wisely.
They are all excellent, but I like the realism of Julheim's models. Excellent attention to detail (And I would know...) The weapons are top-notch, and would, with a few simple textures, cut it in any modern war game.
Antares' is awesome as well, lots of goodies in there, especially the full-color lab complete with alien-in-the-tube.
The bionicle model wins on coolness factor, but only because I'm a bionicle fan-whore. I love those fucking things. They are quite good, but with a bit more....could take the show for me. I don't even know what's missing...it's small, though...but it would tip everything. maybe just a tad more detail on the masks? That is, after all, what bionicle is all about....I'm not sure. Ecxellent work, though, Salm. Now replace your Avatar with a bionicle guy and lose the frightening kid from the haunted painting.
The sci-fi retro rocket, while an excellent model, just didn't do it for me asthetically. Technically, it looks to be a very good model. the lighting is superb, the paint scheme works quite well, and all combine to give it a very bleak, military feel, which is as it should be, since back in the day something like this would be envisioned, it would undoubtedly be housed in a military base. So it really captures the essence of the model. It is an excellent all-round picture, too, incorporating elements of the background into the entire model.
All told, very excellent work, gentlemen, you all obviously put alot of effort into these pictures and you deserve a collective round of applause from all of us here. Don't waste those talents, either! Use em! Congratulations all.

The Alien with guns is so freaking cool.

I just re-read the rules and found no rule mentioning that the models had to be finished within "one month" (from what starting point?).salm wrote:... within a month ....
Most models (and especially the scenes) were made long ago...
(There are actually two threads about them in this forum. That's the main reason why i didnt get suspicious, when Beowulf had inspected my pictures)
So since i am (obviously) cheated i am out and the next in line is the winner
Sorry for cheating, but i really thought this is a general show off.
Do i get kicked from the board now?
EDIT:
found it:
i always searched for a peroid of time.6. All candidate images must be new for this contest. No fair using prior images.
You may call me a fucking cheater now !
omg... how embarrassing. why was nobody doubting this? ...
It seems like nobody remembered my work posted on this board:

The rule was that the image must be new for the contest, which began Jul 21.
So it was really more like 2 1/2 months. Apology accepted Antares.

Congrats to Salm.

I actually did know or at least strongly suspected you, but the images I've not seen threw me off slightly and I just felt like not saying a peep.
Oh well, you always have the next contest.
