Ship ID?

Yep, me asking what the hell a Star Trek ship is again. The starship in the foreground, with the two big (shuttle bays? engines?) on the back of the saucer. Anybody know?

I think its an Excelsior type

It is? Thought the stardrive section was more rounded than that, but then again, most of the pictures of it that I've seen have been from the bow.

Yep there's many Excelsior-class ship in TNG and DS9 some of which are named.

Yeah, the Excelsior was the leading ship of the class.

it's a class with 3 diffrent subtypes (normal, Ent-B and the DS9 weapon upgrage.)

Excelsior, IMO the best looking and one of the most powerfull looking ships ever to grace the franchise
