I didn't find a thread on this so I decided to start one. But correct me if I'm wrong please.

I have an unquenchable love for hard Christian Rock. My favorite groups are Skillet, Pillar, POD, Kutless, 3 Doors Down, and a few other groups.

It's a christian progressive metal band from Sweden. Pretty well-known in the late 80's/early 90's, but I've no idea if they're still active.

Real music?  Like what? Christian Rock is real music, just with different lyrics.

Christian Rock is an oxymoron. It's soft, weak and pussified, just like the Christians who listen to it.

How is it "soft and weak"? POD has some really hard songs. As well as Pillar, Skillet and Kutless. If you want to listen to some POD to see what I mean, I'll give you an mp3 link on my site.

I've listened to POD. They should be called POS. And Creed is nothing more than Pearl Jam + Bible. Isn't even rock. I'll stick to AC/DC and Guns N' Roses, thank you.

I'm generally not a fan of it myself, but perhaps we should let anyone else come out of the woodwork to discuss what Christian Rock they might like.

I LOVE Faith + 1, how can you forget such memorable classics as "I want to get down on my knees and start pleasing Jesus" and "One time, Two times, Three times my savior"?

Moop sold out and picketed. Faith + 1 was all about the faith. And the plus one.

"I may have been born again, but I wasn't born again yesterday." Classic.

CHRISTIAN ROCK! How dare you corrupt my music in such a manner! One thing's for sure, next time i see Jesus at the Deitys Local 1033 meeting, he's going to get a piece of my mind!

I cannot resist...
A cross upon her bedroom wall
From grace she will fall
An image burning in her mind
And between her thighs

A dying god-man full of pain
When will you cum again ?
Before him beg to serve or please
On your back or knees
There?s no forgiveness for her sins
Prefers punishment ?
Would you suffer eternally
Or internally ?

For her lust
She?ll burn in hell
Her soul done medium well
All through mass manual stimulation
Salvation

Body of christ
She needs
The body of christ

She?d like to know god
Ooh love god
Feel her god
Inside of here - deep inside of her

Jesus christ looks like me

Opinions are like assholes and everybody's got one. Personally I don't see why christian rock should be any worse than say black metal or goth.

Do Deicide count as christian metal, given their songs are explicitly christian themed, and Deicide can refer to the death of God on the cross? I really recommend Deicide to christian rockers, if they want a really theologically messaged song.

"Scars of the crucifix" is a good song based on JEsus' suffering on the cross. Get that. 8)

The Pentecostal's a good song from a band that hold back nothing when it comes to controversial messages, that we would expect, given the song is about pentecostals.

Come to think of it, Blind Guardian have quite a few songs about christian themes such as the crucifixion of Jesus and crusaders. Having seen them live, I can recommend them.

3 Doors Down are popular on the mainstream stations down here in the sippi. I didn't even know they were christian but I suppose it makes sense.

Whose sock puppet are you anyways?
