LOL! It's finally been proven that the Borg have an enemy that can assimilate
them.

The new
People's Museum of Technology & Science, Shanghai-Pudong ... I gotta say, the pure
SCALE of the building and the surrounding pavilions is pretty impressive.

So that's why they only come one at a time- it's not the tech, it's the food!
But that Security Bureau looks very cool.

Say what you will about the PRC, but their buildings kick arse.
Especially the security bureau and the institute of science and technology. Nice sight.

Bah, as shiny as these buildings are, they don't hold the majesty of the British Library, Natural History Museum or Vauxhall Cross.

See, that's what we're missing out on. A government that wants their buildings to look really fucking cool.

Don't be to impressed. Note that in the picture of the "Tron" buildings, every other structure has it's lights out. That skyline, shiny thoughn it may be, has nothing on even the most modest of American cities. A huge, exploitable workforce is no replacement for infrastructure and efficiency.

Possibly ... although late on a Friday night, when that pic was taken, maybe they're just efficient enough to turn the lights out in the office buildings.
That is a very tiny piece of one of Shanghai's many 'skylines', and every damned pic I take downtown in Pushi includes construction cranes.
Here's Hua Hue Road, one of the two main downtown Pushi business/financial streets ... our office is the biggest building in the pic on the right ...
Here's the view from our office ... cranes, cranes, everywhere in the city cranes are throwing up new buildings, office & residential, tearing down old neighborhoods ...
