I don't understand why the costume players are considered "mainstream" fans on TFN and SW.com when techies aren't. Nothing I have ever posted would embarrass me half as much as wearing one of those costumes (at least the shitty ones when everyone can tell it's you--the wampa one's actually pretty cool).

I blame the whole STar Trek thought along with conventions. To spend ooddles of money to look sorta like Han is being a fan, but knowing shit is obviously going tooooooo far.

As for the pictures...some really good one and I love the Darth Maul ICP joke bit.

Lots of those costumes were exceptional, though it's probably readily available merchendaise now that I think about it. But then some of the more original ones didn't look half bad.
