Actually as a child my mother had a pet croc. Of course she had to let it go when it grew to be more than a few inches long.

I've heard of a man in Florida with a fully grown, and apparently as close to domesticated as it gets, gator. Saw it on animal planet, the gator has free roam of the house and is docile from what I saw.

That said, :shock:
I was not expecting to be phased by that, but... wow. *shiver*
