New camera!

Post by Glocksman »

I treated myself to a new digicam to replace my aging Olympus D-510 and bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20.

Anyhoo, it works great indoors without a flash due to the fast (f2.8, fast for a non-SLR) lens. Here's a few pics.

And yeah, that's a sack used as a background in the gun pics. It beat having reflections from the desk ruin the shot.

I wager it's designed for concealment.

It's a Kel Tec P3AT in .380 ACP, aka 9mm Kurtz for our European friends.
It has more recoil than you'd think because the gun is so small and light.
In fact, it's decidedly unpleasant to shoot, but its for concealment not target shooting.
I'm only going to shoot maybe 50 rounds every few months for practice.
Other than that, only a magazine full. When it's important.

Heh.
The knife was free when I ordered some Glock magazines right after the AWB expired last September. The blade dulled quickly, but I use the built in penlight more than the blade anyways.
