BTW, at one point when it's panning, there's a lady in a black dress with white checks standing on a walkway. You can see the kitchen behind her. Can't see her face that well... but it's me. Nitram and I had gotten seperated so I'd walked up there so I could look over the crowd to find him.

AHA! I found Martin in the video as well... you can see him when the Champion is sent to fetch her Majesty.. he's the guy sitting on the right side of the first long table. You can see him best when the guy closed to the camera moves. Look for the dark beard and cloak, with a white collar and sleeves.

Pretty cool. I couldn't make anyone out too well, of course I wasn't really looking for you two, just kinda scanning over. But those were really nice costumes.

a lovely ceremony, and good costumes.

Looks like it was fun to attend.

Her Majesty was up until 6am putting the final touches on the black/white overdress she had on. The embrodery on the black half was His Majesty's personal badge of a silver rabbit playing the bagpipe. The white half had a lion spread-eagled in blue and gold, the badge of the Knight HerMajesty is squired to and thus serves as her guardian/father figure in the Society. She'd found many protraits of Royal Coronations in England and France, and the Queens all wore dresses with her families and her husband's family crests on them

I remember seeing a red belt King at Gulf Wars. I found that amusing, since from what little I understood at the time, it would seem as though the King was still some knight's bitch.

But apparently the SCA thought of that. Darn. :(

Yeah, some kings have been squires (red belts, for the non-SCAdians), but some kingdoms raise them to Knighthood (whitebelt) at the end of their reign, since they have 'proven themselves worthy'.

Queen Tessa is still a Squire, but King Malcolm has been a Knight for about 3 yrs now, iirc. Her Majesty is one of the leading proponents of Combat Archery in the Kingdom, and one of the deadier archers at the targets as well :) That's why she's been squired, and once Knighted she'll be the first non-heavy weapons in the Peerage, I believe.
