The whole thing's a bit grainy. Soften it up a bit.
The text needs anti-aliasing, badly.
Make all the photographs sepia tone or B&W.

Liking the black and white idea, nixing the text entirely now. Keeping the grain for the most part.

Sepia is kind of brownish overall; like a black-and-white camera, but with brown tones included, like a really faded old b&w photo.

Okay, I see you got the photos all mono-chromed. That's good. But you've still got a quality issue. Some of the shots are nice and crisp- some of them are grainy. What you need to do first is make the crisp shots a bit grainy. Then you have to smooth everything out so that they aren't very grainy anymore. Why do you need to get the smooth pictures grainy first? They'll still clash otherwise.

Did you narrow it a bit?
