This is one of the more enteraining Authority books in a while. It's written by Garth Ennis so there's lots of sex, violence and more violence, swearing etc...

They're in that pic Chardok posted. The black mask wearing guy (I forget his name) and the long hair guy, Apollo. They don't need to fight fundies, The Authority recently conquered North America.

And according to some old Wizard issue, they did plan to do a Authority vs. Creator or something like that arc. Cancelled because of 911

Think of Midnighter as being a much more hard core violent Batman and Apollo being Superman.

In the comic they are married and have adopted a super powered little girl named Jenny Quantum.
