Not 40k, but a similar energy blade for an original ficverse.

I tried to do the glow in Photoshop at first, but the results weren't satsfactory, so I had to resort to using XSI's default glow function.

Anyone know tips on how I could do the same with Photoshop instead?

Oh, pretty.....

For glow effects in Photoshop, I generally just duplicate layers and use Gaussian blur, and experiment with the intensity of that, and change the color to whatever I want the glow to be. I'm self taught in PS though, so there might be an easier or a better way.
