I just turned on "Best of You" by the Foo Fighters, and my brain is clouded by how unbelievably sexy Dave Grohl's raspy voice is in that song. I know there are a couple of other singers that do it for me like his, but I can't think of them now because I'm playing that song again. Yummm.

I know I'm not the only one. Who else turns you on from their voice alone?

The only ones I can think of are these two:

1) Liv Kristine from Cradle's album Nymphetamine, specifically on the title track and the word "loneliness".
2) Pete Steele from Type O.

Angie Harmon, though to be fair, her looks don't hurt either.

Kate Beckinsale's accent in Van Helsing is pretty damn hot as well.

Off the top of my head:

Female: Shirley Manson from Garbage's debut album
Male: Chris Isaak

I think I should mention one that isn't exactly sexy (to me) but is remarkably pleasing to the ear and always gets my full attention is Keith David's (he played the Arbiter is Halo 2).

Keith David does wonderful voice acting.

Christopher Lee has a very compelling voice.

Maynard James Keenan of Tool/APC: whether he's doing the pretty slow thing, or screaming his lungs out.

Marilyn Manson: same as MJK, but mostly when his voice is really low, like in Personal Jesus. mmm, so sexy.

Liv Kristine: What Rye said.

Christina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil

Thom Yorke of Radiohead: I don't know, just something really nice and soothing about it.

for some reason the chick that sings in the animetal group doing the animetal lady marathons has an incredibly hypnotic voice.

Sarah McLachlan. Her voice is just so beautiful and sexy that I feel like touching myself every time I hear one of her songs. I'm getting impure thoughts just thinking about it.

Margo Timmins (Cowboy Junkies lead singer) She has this really cool smoldering sexiness to her voice. Also gives me impure thoughts.

Diana Krall ....

For music: I would actually go for Madonna or Shirley manson.

Sharon den Adel has a lovely voice, really.

As for guys, I oddly enough love Alice Cooper's. Love it.

Etta James too, and Eva Cassidy. And as a group I like En Vogue. (Anyone remember the song "Givin' Him Something He Can Feel"?)

I also like Ani DiFranco and Melissa Ferrick. Mmmm... earthy hippy chicks. Rawr!

For men I like Maynard from A Perfect Circle or Tool. Martin Sexton and Damien Rice are also awesome in a different way. And Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson are amazing.
