At Marcon 40, Nitram and I splurged on two pieces of art.

The first is a 11x15 that's titled "Thomas and the Dragons".

What's really nice is we got it signed by the artist, Susan VanCamp! I love the little Cat & Dragon heads she did on the side :-D

The next one is HUGE 17x31. I got it for only $45 at the Silent Auction. :-D It's called "ThunderStruck" by Ruth Thompson. Unfortunately, not signed. :-(
A little blurry too. Blame WhiteHaven's Camera.

I love the Thomas and the Dragon piece, very cute!!!! Is it on paper or is it a seriograph? It looks very vibrant.

Congrats on two great aquisitions. :)

It's a print from the original painting... I think acrylic on canvas, but don't quote me, Flakin

Gorgeous peices. Thomas and the cat is rather cute, but I'm impressed by 'Thunderstruck', it looks wonderful.

That's the camera's doing again. WhiteHaven was adjusting like crazy.

There's another shot of it, which was totally accidental as WhiteHaven struggled with the settings on his camera. It turned out to be an amazing shot, which I'll post in a sec.

Wholly unphotoshopped, I swear! The one thing I love about my digital is that I can go manual and adjust all the exposures and such manually. That was with simulated 200-speed film and a hella long exposure, along with some custom color-balancing that I'd left on from another shot and forgot about. The room's overall lighting helped too, as you can see from the slight orange cast to the earlier shot. In hindsight, I shoulda played with the color balance again, as there's not a trace of red coloration in the entire actual image.

So, cat and dragons. Do I approve? Yes.

Nice acquisition, Lady Tevar.

.....I'll be damned....

That's one hell of a blue dragon there, he's so how he lit the town on fire

nice trick with the digital camera there White Haven, and again, simply gorgeous Tevar. I am envious of the acquisitions.

Thank you, all of you.

Now I just have to scrape up the $55 to get the Dragon framed, since it's an odd size. The cat fits a 11x15, no problem.
