Aaaaawwww. Actually, the adult version looks cute to me too; seems to have that 'mommy' aura.

It bears mentioning that the Cheetah is the only big cat that can be succesfully domesticated.

IIRC Cheetah's are one of the few large cat species that are non agressive towards humans if raised from birth. They are small enough they don't see humans as prey and timid enough they don't get agressive.

Or so I've been told.

Wouldn't mind having a Cheetah as a pet.

Boy, and you think you have trouble chasing down the *dog* when it gets off the leash.

"Zaza! Get back here and quit chasing the Porsche!!!"

Aww  why ? If they are nice then why?

of course I know why, don't tell me cause I know...don't waste your time, I know, I know, I know, I'm just trying to be cute, which probably is not working especially in this thread

Someone thinking any cat species isn't agressive towards humans needs his head examined.
The large ones are because they know they can tear us apart without even trying, and the small ones know we'll let them get away with it because they're cute and fuzzy. The only reason cats keep humans around is because they can operate neither the fridge nor the can opener.
That being said, those kittens are adorable.

However, cheetah claws are non-retractable, and with only a friendly slap with the paw, can send a person to a hospital from cuts and gashes. Even though they mean well, and are EXTREMLY playful.

Their fur is uber-soft though.

Oh  knowing that now I don't want one, I guess I'll just stick to my dream of owning a sheep dog (I mean the original sheep dog's you know like Mr. Mugs) Big white poufy dogs!! Yeah!

Edit; I must add this... Big white poufy dogs... with NO eyes! (hehehe, points to Cpl Kendall laughing)

EDIT #2 I guess I should say something more on topic... IIRC there was an incident of someones pet cheetah getting loose from their car in BC somewhere when we lived there in 2003! At least I think it was a Cheetah and I think it was in Vancouver, all over the news... but I have a bad memory and because I knew it would never get to anywhere near where we lived or frequently visited I didn't pay too much attention to it.

If anyone from BC remembers this feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here ;)

Awww, that's just too much!

Man, someone needs to breed a sub-species down to household size, stat!

You know, because of my stinkng Cat allergies, I turned down the chance to pet a cheetah.

I'm never going to forgive myself for that, it would have rocked.... ah well.

 geezus man they are just allergies.. you could have taken some allergy meds afterwards.. Ok I'll stop teasing... no really, I'm sure that's what happened at the time because you didn't have a chance to think it through, try not to be so hard on yourself, you were just trying to keep your day from going to shit because of allergies..

I know how it is, I have cat allergies as well, but I love cats so much I can't live without them so I deal with my allergies on a daily basis and I can't pet our cat for any length of time without having to put Visine allergy drops in my eyes and washing my hands excessively afterward. If I don't do those things I'll be rubbing and stratching my eyes and sneezing for the entire day or night depending on when I touch her. But I love her so much so I do it for her ;)

Edit x1

They may look all cute and cuddly now, but when they grow up they are going to be a vicous eating and running machince with sharp points on 5 of it's 6 of it's ends. But now, they are cute.

I'm pretty sure you can have one if you have some sort of exotic animal license...

Yeah, you can get alot of big cats that way. After all, there are people who own adult tigers legally.
