Synthesiser pioneer Dr Robert Moog dead at 71

Post by The Grim Squeaker »

Synthesiser pioneer Dr Robert Moog has died at his North Carolina home aged 71, four months after being diagnosed with brain cancer, leaving behind him an extraordinary musical legacy.

Dr Moog's 1964 synthesiser module revolutionized music by introducing electronic sounds to popular culture.

The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder where some of the first artists to use the new synthesisers, which are now an integral part of music and recording.
