I was in NYC on Sunday going through the Met with the girlfriend. She was on a field trip so I was doing my own thing until they broke for the afternoon. In the early Christian art section I spied something from a far among the statues of the saints. "Could it really be?" I asked myself as I gawked for a good minute at one statue in particular across the room.
It's actually a statue of the grieving Mother of Christ Mary, but you couldn't really make out details until you got real up close and personal. Sorry for the pic resolution, I only had my camera phone on me at the time.
