The Mech Cooperative project. Warning BIG.

A while ago I posted some teaser pics of a mech Antares and I designed and modeled in 3D. Those were the unused designs. These are the chosen drawings, refined over time and modelled in 3D.

These are the sketches that directed the design away from a squat tank like mecha, to a more refined machine with an almost "avian" quality.

These are more unused sketches demonstrating several unused concepts such as reactive armor and sloping plates.

This pic is more in line with the final design and helped shape future iterations of our mech.

This is the final sketch outlining the details and features of the mech.
As rough as it is, it's still full of detail. I wish I had put more effort into it.

Alas the final result. Weeks of labor in design and communication brought to fruition by Antares and myself.

Herbay, i want to thank TheMuffinKing for his great concepts and cooperate with me :)
Actually, it was my first cooperation of this kind and it worked out great. :)
Uhm ... even though TheMuffinKing invested muchmore time i suspect.

Wonderful!
Beautiful!
Staggering!

But..eh...

Methinks it's legs be too small, or the top too big.

Legs look too small, but maybe because we can't fully see the joints. Very nice work.

Very Marauder, with a touch of Black Python/Viper. I like.

I think the torso being big is no problem, because
most of it is hollow anyway. Anyway, thanx for outlining it.
Scaling up the legs doens't take much time with a 3D model :D

Here's another version with 10% size increase of the legs.

Those look pretty nice. Perhaps a human figure nearby for scale? That would be *extremely* cool...

Reminds me of the Zentraedi Officer's Battle Pod or the Glaug for you Macross people. Very nice work guys.

I like the 10% increase, it really add weight to the model. I'm glad you guys like it and I'm certainly impressed with Antare's modelling skill.

Wow, very good :D

I, too, will suggest that you add some "meat" to the legs, I could see them supporting the body but they look kinda skiny.

Again, the godly talents of Antares and The Muffin King come to the fore. Well done guys.
